3.30  A rabbit

Look at this rabbit. It runs fast like a sword. It doesn’t pay attention to the beautiful place. Its red eyes star at the distance. It wants to find out a close way to escape. Because there is a fierce tiger chasing the rabbit.

Who can help this poor animal? Some hunters always catch the rabbits. They eat the rabbit meat. They peel off the skin. Many of the beautiful coats are made of the skin. Rabbit can bring us beauty. It also brings our life interesting. Animals are our friends. This gently rabbit also needs to be protected.

We hope some years later, we can see that a white rabbit is running happily on the broad plain. Green grass smiles. The breeze whistles past the rabbit. Blue sky and white clouds make a peaceful scene. We build a rabbit house and a garden on the plain. We plant many carrots and colorful flowers in the garden.

3.31   An elephant

Look, the elephant is proud of its strong and handsome status. It lifts one foot to greet its fellow. Maybe the fellow is female. It hopes to attract her attention. Then

they will marry together. How happy they are!

The elephant is the biggest animals that live on land. The elephant is one of the tallest animals in the world. The elephant has a long nose that is called trunk. It can use the truck like a hand. With its trunk, an elephant can pick up a tree, or pick up one peanut. The elephant has the biggest ears of all the animals. The ears look like two big fans. Ivory is whiteness and immaculacy. It is used to make some artworks and chopsticks.

The elephant is our friend. In the ancient time, people always use the elephant as an important vehicle. It can transport the heavy thinngs. Sometimes it helps a nation to resist the enemies. So, it is adored as a god.

3.32  Friends

There are two dogs in the pictures. One is Lily, the other is Barbie. Lily sits on the stump quietly. Barbie feels its nose with the claw. The sun is shining brightly. It makes a snug and quiet picture.

From this picture , we all know they are good friends. Friends are very important to us. When in trouble, we need friends to offer us encouragement and help. With success achieved, we also need friends to share our joys. It’s hard to imagine  the life without friendship!

A person should make as many friends as he can. The more friends he has, the more meaningful his life will be. However, real friends are not easy to find. That’s why we highly value our friend ship with them. Just like these two dogs.  Therefore, it is essential we take.            

3.33   Harvest time

When is harvest time? In many people’s opinions, harvest time is in autumn. Yes, we like autumn. It is golden. We can have a good harvest in the fields when autumn is coming: the fruits, the wheat, the corn, the vegetables and so on.

 At the end of each term, Students have a harvest time: they will get a mark list from their teachers and they will know how they’ve learned in this term, including good news and something not done perfectly.

  Adults have their harvest time at the end of each year: How much money they have earned; How do they get along with colleagues and so on.

  We have different harvests at different ages, no matter how much we’ve got, we’re growing up at each stage, at each harvest time. We can be better and better.

3.34    A happy family

Look at the picture: a smart lady, a strong handsome man and their baby. They are smiling so happily in the picture.   We can get a lot from their smile. They love their family; they understand each other very well; they know what they should do for the family.

Nowadays, more and more families can earn enough money to buy a bigger house, a more expensive car or offer a better study condition for the children. Does it mean they are happy? I don’t think so. A happy family means that each family member can communicate with each other by heart. They love each other. It can give the members not only happiness but also warmth.

3.35   On the beach

There is a beautiful beach in the picture. A pretty woman is sitting on the beach and making a sandcastle. Her son is just beside her. He has a swim ring. Just now he went for a swim and felt a little tired. Now he is sitting there and thinking about more funny things to do later. It is a little dull for him because there are no good friends with him. But anyway, it’s so sunny and mum will accompany him. 

In our daily life, we are too busy with our work. So it’s a good suggestion that we can have a visit to the beach when we have a holiday. The sun, the sand, the T-shirts and the laugh, all the things will make you feel relaxing and really wonderful.

3.36    If I have enough money

If I have enough money, I’ll buy a much bigger house; If I have enough money, I can buy Benz; If I have enough money, I can buy all the things I want; If I have enough money, I will make all the poor children in the world happy; If I have enough money…

Everyone has too many dreams, and in fact, enough money can help us to solve a lot of problems and make our dreams come true.

On the other side, if I have enough money, I don’t want to work any more; I don’t know what I need; I don’t need to pay anything for what I want. I will lose the chance to enjoy the happiness and sadness through the process of earning money.

So out of question, money is important, but remember it is not the most important thing in the world. It cannot buy time and health. We must take a right attitude towards it.

                          3.37     Books

There are many books in the picture. Maybe they’re all English books which are putting neatly in the bookshelf. Look at them, and you’ll have a sense. Books are our good friends. 

Now we are not living in an English speaking country. So, in order to learn it well, we need extra practice, such as reading English books.

Today, there are an increasing number of people who would like to read books, instead of playing, chatting, and so on. Because it can give us a chance to think, and books can arm us with knowledge and information we need to make success of life.

                    3.38   Electricity

Ever since early the last century, electricity has become an essential part of our modern life. Our industrial and agricultural production depends on it to run various kinds of machines. The modern wonder computers work on electricity too. It provides light, heat and power for us. If we want to watch TV or films or to listen to the radios we also need it. Nobody can deny that the development of our civilization depends on electricity.

Therefore, we should make better use of electric power. On the other hand, we should educate people to economize using electricity and not to waste the energy resources with no thought for the future. At the same time we must do our best to exploit more electric resources to meet the requirements of the human beings and to avoid energy crisis in the future. 

3.39    A Park

    There is a park in the picture. We can see some green trees and long chairs in the park. What a beautiful scene!

If you have enough time, you can walk and sit in this park. Walk along the road, then chat or think nothing. You can have a nice weekend with your family or your friends in this park, maybe You can have a picnic here.

  Nowadays more parks appeared, and more people want to go there when they have spare time. But a manager of a park said that more money had been spent by keeping the park clean and beautiful. So don’t leave rubbish in the park and don’t destroy the things in the park. Let’s do it now, then you’ll have more happy time in the park.

3.40  The Great Wall

Now we can try to know the Great Wall, the grandest fortification in ancient China.

Dating back to the seven century B.C., the Great Wall is constructed by respective states for fortifying against invasion of neighboring states. By the reasons of long history and its length, it becomes one of the eight wonders in the world and represents the highest wisdom and crafts.

From the top of the Great Wall, we can enjoy a magnificent view of continuous mountains, green trees and blooming wild flowers. It is no doubt that one says, “He who has never been to the Great Wall is not a true man”。
